UCAS has released the latest official figures of students who have applied by the 15th January. The figures show that applicants are down from 583,546 to 540,073, a colossal loss of around 43,000 prospective graduates. The loss does have one advantage though; applicants have more chance of getting in on the course of their choice. These figures are 7.4% lower than 2011 but this is expected following the fees the Universities are now charging in this country. Read the rest of this entry »
