Things to do in Lincoln this summer.

There’s nothing better than basking in the summer sun, until you get bored of it and want to do something instead of course.

Here’s a little list of summery treats our fair Lincoln has in store for you this season.

On the 11th July South Common Fair comes to town and is totally FREE, whoop! There’s lots to see and do including archery (be careful hey?) mini-orienteering, crafts and skills along with displays like the heavy horses at work and plenty of other great things to see. A fab day out, here’s more info.

Fancy a giggle? The Big Comedy Mash opens its doors again at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre on the 16th July at 8pm. Tickets are £12, £10 concessions and they’ve lined up some cracking acts to split your sides! Check this out; www.lovelincoln.co.uk

The 17th July see the Farmers’ Market set up its stalls again and bringing with it all sorts of fresh produce that tastes so much better than any supermarket brands! Granted it’s a little more expensive but organise a special dinner with your friends and treat yourselves, it’s summer after all.

The weekend of the 23rd July sees the Italians hit our streets, with a market selling their wares as well as classical Italian music on the High Street on the 24th, “eccellente, ansiosi di esso!” we hear you cry! Here’s some more facts about that; www.lovelincoln.co.uk

On the 31st July it’s time for the Summer Gala! Centered around the city’s iconic waterfront you’ll find live music, the farmers’ market, fairground rides and all sorts of stalls to feast your eyes open. Admission is totally FREE, so no excuse! Here’s the lowdown; www.lovelincoln.co.uk

As always we’ll be keeping you up to date on all things DIGS and especially events we think you’d like to keep checking our site, Facebook and Twitter for more tips!
