Welcome back folks!
So the holiday period is over, we’ve all eaten as much as our bellies will allow, and it’s now back to the daily grind of essays, coursework and even the odd exam. But the good news is the days are slowly but surely getting lighter, and here at Digs we can almost smell summer! For those of our continuing residents you’ll already know how much fun it is to live with us in the sunny summer months. For all those first years out there you’re in for several months of bbq’s, bikinis and water fights. Yay! We just need this ice to melt now… And talking of ice, we would like to apologise that on Wednesday 13/1/10 you were all stuck at Storthes Hall. All bus operators cancelled all bus services in Huddersfield, and the SHP shuttle bus was no exception. At least you all got a chance to build a snowman or go sledging!
We have loads going on at the D-Bar for you guys to enjoy this term…. Monday: ‘Alt’ night for all you rockers, Tuesday: Lets Get Funked Tokyo pre-party, Wednesday: Open mic night for you to strut your stuff, Thursday: Quiz night!! Friday: Wii night and of course Sunday night is the infamous lets get funked. The only place to be on a Sunday (other than in bed)!
