Buy a good pair for walking shoes.

At the moment if you’ve got a car it’ll pretty much be bleeding you dry. Petrol at an all time high with a large proportion of cars costing well over £60 to fill, car tax stings every year, parts and labour if anything goes wrong you need to sell a kidney for and now insurance is, to put it bluntly, whopping.

Student visas issued to be dramatically cut.

 It has been announced by the Home Secretary, Theresa May, that the amount of people allowed to enter the UK on student visa is to be slashed by up to 80,000. The subject of foreigners coming into our country continues to be a touchy one, especially in the light of new information that some are using the allowances given to those who are seeking study to gain illegal entry and working under the radar.

Book review- Slave Girls by Sarah Forsyth

Warning- this book is not for the faint hearted.

Slave Girl tells the true story of how at just 19 years old, Sarah Forsyth was lured to Amsterdam under false pretences and sold to the notorious Red Light District.

Despite this ordeal alone providing more terror and desperation than most people face in a lifetime, Sarah’s nightmare began at 3years old when she was abused by her Father.  Due to this abuse Sarah was put into care, whilst still having contact with her long suffering Mother and brother.  Shockingly, it was at one of these homes Sarah’s abuse continued with people, whose jobs it was to look after her, subjecting her to mental and physical torture.

Marks and Spencer’s One Day Wardrobe Clear-out

A recent study has shown a staggering 92% of us have clothes in our wardrobe that we don’t wear.  With this in mind, Marks and Spencer are holding a One Day Wardrobe Clear-out on Thursday 24th March.

The idea is to bag up all your unwanted M&S clothes and take them down to your local store where they will be donated to Oxfam.  As a thank you, you will be given a £5 M&S voucher to be used when spending £35 or over – perfect for making your first summer dress purchase!

Book Review//The Time Traveller’s Wife
